Character Name: MAIL JEEVAS
Gender: Male
Classification: Unaligned
Faceclaim: Matt (Death Note)
Current Occupation: Like many of the children adopted into Wammy's House, Matt once idolized the detective known as L. He was the third in line of succession should anything untoward happen to the original L, but didn't particularly care about standings because living in the house was good enough -- he got food, he got games, and he got friends. Well, a friend and a bunch of people he could hang out with to a point. Matt's friend was Mello, and he followed behind the older blond like a puppy. It... wasn't surprising that Matt left not even a year after Mello's disappearance from Wammy's House.
Matt has become a Hacker for Hire -- he'll do just about anything for the right priceor some smokes or the latest video games. He hasn't come across a job he won't do at all, and honestly worries that there will never come a time that he finds a line he is unwilling to cross. The price he charges for his work fluctuates based on his mood, how much food he has, and whether or not a new mod for WoW is coming out. He's likely to give discounts to other Wammy's residents, and of course, work for Mello is always free~
Personality: Matt is confident in his ability to control and manipulate computers, to the point of becoming cocky and arrogant. This feeling however, might be a bit warranted since there are few in the world that can match him in cyber space. Despite the fear (and rage) his online persona can cause, Matt's a rather laid-back person. He goes with whatever flow he gets caught up in -- when he was younger, that meant whatever pranks Mello was trying to pull on other kids at the orphanage. Now, that means he would probably hack the codes to a doomsday device for a super villain without really caring (not like that's actually happened -- "Doomsday" devices are so cliche).
He's awkward around physical people and often acts snarky and sarcastic to keep others from realizing that he isn't as cool as he wants to appear. This is why interaction through screens and microphones -- or ignoring the 3D world entirely -- is generally preferred. He can stomach only so many people, and most of them go by ridiculous code names.
Although he still admires the work of L, Matt has lost the absolute belief in "true justice" that characterized him when he was younger. It's gotten to the point where he feels justice is just a new buzzword for people to tweet... Something cool to say without knowing what it means because justice means absolutely nothing. It's a word that is defined has over six billion meanings, and none of them are right. Now, Matt's justice is that he will do whatever it takes to help those he cares for. It's not a pretty justice, to be sure, but right now it's the only one he can commit to.
Skill 1: Expert Hacker - Matt has an uncanny knack for computers and is able to create programs that some professors would deem impossible. Getting data hidden behind the CIA's firewall? Sure, no problem. Erase your presence from the security logs? Pfft, please, he already did that. Lead the Ebonheart Pact to certain victory? Bring it on! ...Ask him to talk face to face with someone? If he can keep himself from snarking, he might be able to say something half-way intelligent. It's just... not likely.
Skill 2: Observation - Although not the most intelligent Wammy outcast, Matt is probably the most observant, as he is able to notice things rather well. He easily sees discrepancies in recorded videos (it makes watching movies with a lot of errors between frames a pain though) and can pick out bugs and errors in code at a glance. It's a pity that he doesn't always apply it.
Skill 3: Deadeye Marksman - And Ruvie always said that playing video games wouldn't help me in anything. Pfft, yeah right. Matt's hand-eye coordination, cultivated from years of gaming and programming, has also given him a leg up on shooting. Although he prefers sniping, he can use handguns just as well.

Left some bio out since that relies heavily on Near and Mello players if/when we get them.
Random thing that I typed but couldn't actually use anywhere in the app: "Life's just a game with plenty of ammo and a distinct lack of health packs."
