Respect both staff and peers. In saying so, this means understanding that we all are different in terms of perspective, preference and viewpoint and being reasonable in accommodating such factors during interaction of all sorts; primarily but not limited to chatbox and RolePlay. The aforementioned request for accommodation is not unreasonable in that you have to agree with what everyone says, but rather a beckon that you do your best to keep any social aggressiveness in check and keep contradicting social confrontations that may come about generally mild (language-wise and tone-wise) in nature. ☆II. Take note that in accordance with the Proboards Terms of Service and to avoid any potential mishaps with our service provider, "I am Justice" is a PG-13 rated site. RolePlay in accordance with this rating. Of course, with the genre that is being RolePlayed here, there will inevitably be countless situations that would require depictions of content that goes beyond the PG-13 rating. In these situations; namely ones that may require depictions of Mature (or otherwise a rating above PG-13) content, one must do their best implement a "fade out," or otherwise some form of a cut in their writing to avoid including, or at least making efforts to water down such graphic depictions. Implications are as far as one can reasonably go. In terms of swearing and verbal (written) vulgarity; for the purpose of keeping the site clean as a function of respect for all members; their use must be minimal and kept contextual if used at all during RolePlay. Censors have been implemented into the Chatbox to avoid them being visible in their unabridged form, therefore only in the event of disrespectful abuse to staff or members of the censorship system occurring should anti-swearing/vulgarity rules be enforced. For this purpose, the staff reserve the right to intervene if the need arises. ☆III. Literacy in RolePlay is required. Proper English and grammar must be implemented to the best of the writer's ability in RolePlay so that there may be comprehension on a reader's side. Though there is no enforced word count, one must be considerate of fellow RolePlayers in that there must be reasonably enough content for a RolePlayer to solidly reply to in the interest of narrative and plot development. ☆IV. Godmodding; or in any way taking control of another player character's actions without their consent or without the circumstances of ruling V below is strictly prohibited. The results of controversial RolePlay 'actions' such as attempted Character Apprehension, Murder or general situations where one party will triumph over the other party in some way are determined by the mechanisms of the "Deceit" RolePlay system outlined in a later entry within the Central Database. The roll determines the success of an 'action,' and from there a triumphant character can deliver through roleplay their intended action without controversy or argument from the less fortunate character's player. ☆V. Attempt to maintain at least a token level of activity. By this, we mean at least a post of some sort every week at the very minimum. Of course activities in real life take precedence over leisure Forum RolePlaying, but this links into the above beckon to be considerate towards other members. Refrain from keeping fellow RolePlayers waiting for posts for extended periods of time. It would be appreciated if one could notify the community of absences and returns via the "Notices" board ahead of time, but if the player of a character in a RolePlay thread has not posted for a week in that thread even though it is his or her turn and has not made prior arrangements, the staff reserve the right to allow permission for that character's actions to be decided by the writing of other RolePlayers. ☆VI. There is no limit as to the amount of characters that a player may lay claim to, create registries for and RolePlay. There is only a requirement that there exists a separate account for each character that is taken. Display Names must match in some way the name of the character that is being represented by the account. Please also consider your own capacity to maintain multiple RolePlaying characters at a time before claiming a second character. ☆VII. If there is a loophole existing, or a potential offense that has not been listed above; one must not take advantage for the consequences will be the same as a breach of the groundrules listed above. If it is determined by the staff that there has been a serious, inexcusable or unreasonable breach of one or more of the above groundrules, disciplinary action will take effect following the process outlined below.
